‘360 degree of Contract Manufacturing’ was the theme, title, and focus of the first conference of contract manufacturing by Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA). The conference was also attended by the contract providers, contract manufacturers, regulators, packagers, shippers and software service providers including BatchMaster Software in order to update and exceed the current contract manufacturing requirements and science-based systems approach in Pharmaceutical Industry.
The seminar was a great and edifying platform that brought together ideas, technologies and innovations, business opportunities, trends and challenges and above all people of this industry.
Many eminent people from the industry shared their views on trends and problems of contract manufacturing. They agreed that there’s a big market which is expanding with its own set of inherent drivers and challenges. But the industry as a whole is more concerned about the quality and data integrity. Contract providers are mostly in a state of doubt, i.e. whether the contract manufacturers are following expected standards and GMPs, are maintaining documentations and above all are meeting compliance.
