Ah! We are excited
Do you know why we are excited? Because, we are now ISO 9001:2015 certified! This new certification upgrades our previous quality policies of ISO 9001:2008.
Why we applied for ISO 9001:2015 certification?
Moving from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 was the top priority of our management team.
Reason being, it implies our commitment towards supplying consistent, high quality products and services. ISO 9001:2015 aims at stronger risk analysis, customer-centric thinking, while guaranteeing the same processes of quality control and continuous improvement.
Applying for this certification and winning it would definitely prove a noteworthy milestone for us. And, because we already had a strong quality system in place, attaining this new & upgraded certification was not difficult for us.
How is it different from ISO 9001:2008?
ISO 9001:2015 incorporates simplified language, and a common structure that addresses supply chain management more effectively.
Overall, it is focused on helping organizations to focus less on documentation and more on managing processes.
One other change of note is that the new ISO 9001:2015 has seven quality management principles compared to the eight principles of our previous certification:
- Customer focus
- Leadership
- Engagement of people
- Process approach
- Improvement
- Evidence-based decision making
- Relationship management
